Greg....what is the color/number for the SEM paint? I ordered what Legendary suggested from Kolor Korrect and wondering if the SEM is any cheaper?

Also, do you have a pic handy that shows where the shoulder belt mounts on the roof....?

The old hog ring blisters. Know them well! I actually did something similar to the muslin trick myself. My rear seatback was in good shape but the fabric had dry rotted over the years. I hand sewed a length of fabric from an old heavy canvas drop cloth to the covering to give myself something to attach the rings to.
Zappa, I do not have a pic of the location of the shoulder belt attach point. I never did my headliner. As for the SEM product, I have the remnants of it somewhere. I'll try to remember to look in the morning and will post the info here.

By the way Zappa, I saved a photo of a car just like that about 10 or more years ago. Couldn't be too very many with that color combo. Yours?

Not mine, but nice. So quick back story is the car came from Utah/New Mexico and when I purchased it, it had a blue vinyl roof. When I decoded the data plate it became evident it wasn't originally a vinyl....I peeled it off and there was a blue roof under there! I've had the car 'in process' so long I'm going to have to do some things over again....but almost there. Wanna drive it before I (well you know).

Nice car. I thought about painting my roof white at one point.
Anyway, here's the SEM product that I used.

Got the passenger seat back together tonight. The top of the seat was way more time consuming for me than the bottom. There are a few subtle wrinkles that will probably steam out, but all in all I'm pretty happy with how it came out. The Legendary covers are substantially thicker and fit tighter than the old ones, so they they laid down on the foam pretty well and do a good job covering up my amateur upholstery skills.

Looks perfect to me. Mine had more wrinkles than that and I'm happy with them.

You know, it's not has hard as I thought it would be. That said, I'm not sure I'm ready to do it again any time soon

Got everything back in the car and buttoned up today barring a seat belt retractor that I put back together wrong.

This whole interior refresh project sprung from my rally gauge conversion project that kicked off a bad case of the "might as wells". I ended up repainting the dash, restaining the steering wheel, replacing the glovebox, new carpet, new seat covers, new door panels, new seat belt covers, new dash woodgrain and a Just Dashes dash and new sill plates around those new gauges. It wasn't bad before, but it's nice and fresh now. It even smells new!

Now I need to get out my detailing supplies and clean up all the dust and dirt that built up on the exterior over the last few months.

Oh, that is sweet, only thing it's missing is my 17 year old girl friend in 1976

PS. Did you take out the little back rest stops on the driver seat? Looks like it's leaning a bit more than the passenger side. I remember as a kid I took mine out so it would be more "laid back"

What color did you order from SEM for your teal interior?

I didn't take anything out, but I just looked again and the driver's side does lean back a little bit more. Good eye! If you look from behind the car, the driver's side seat sits a tiny bit different than the passenger. It's always been that way. It's almost like the seat frame got tweaked from years of driving. It doesn't bother me enough to want to diagnose it, I kind of see it as part of the character of the car.

From the passenger side...

I bet the bump stops that the upper seat leans back on are just a bit compressed from years of driving. Could probably just put a thin washer under them to fine tune it if you wanted to.

Or if the owner had a kid like me that was always hanging on the back of the seat Man my Dad hated that.
