Default Edelbrock torker 2 intake on stock engine?

Hello all,

Can i use a Edelbrock Torker 2 intake....on a stock 400ci Pontiac (250 hp) engine?

I dont want to change nothing exept the Intake.

Yes you can.

Keep in mind the Torker II is made to fit square-bore carbs (Holley) but you could use an adapter to fit a Quadrajet carb.

i did that back in the 90's on a stock 78 w72 400, with headers. The t2 intake killed all the low end torque... Made the car noticably slower. later went with a performer and all the torque came back. I'd stick with the stock manifold unless you gotta have aluminum. then I'd go with the performer... fwiw

Torker II is a racingcar-item.

I would keep the original intake with the Q-jet on top.

You will probably make the stock engine slower with that intake.

Is your Holley a square bore carb??? Are all the throtttle holes the same size???

Is your current intake a stock unit???

There are Holley carbs that are spread bore carbs like the factory type quadrajets, that have smaller front throttle bores, and larger rear throttle bores.

If you have a spread bore Holley, you will need an adapter, also...
