Default 1970 Granada Gold GTO - EUN

This is on ebay:

Ebay ad

The partial VIN on engine is a Canada built A body VIN.
The build date on the Granada Gold Baltimore GTO is the correct date for that engine also - 11B. ( along with the Canada VIN for that engine)

The car was also sold about 11 months after built. (according to the sales sheet)

If engine swapped what's chance of getting this in just about perfect order?

If the original engine was pulled at factory and replaced, it wouldn't have had a Canada partial VIN?
(meaning the Canada engine was sent back to Pontiac then re-sent to Baltimore if it was also being pulled in Canada?)

EUN chart of the EUN (the red text is for the Gold GTO)

That color is really off. Way too much tan for Granada Gold.

I'm only getting 13 pictures showing on the listing.
None with any particulars or documents.
No help

Sometimes my browser doesn't get all the content on eBay.
Also a real big problem on Mecum site too.

Also, the last 3 digits of both VINs are the same. Just a coincidence probably. Not sure of the car's VIN, though? (rivets?)

Ask member Kenth for his input on the EUN stamping. And rivet orientation.

Seems like total coincidence.
The EUN appears large and largely spaced , but it might be an illusion.

I'm more interested in the 11 month sales gap.
Does the Invoice make it appear to have been a zone inventory car ?
Or more like a wallflower that warmed the bench on a dealers lot ?

No. The buildsheet shows the dealership and was customer ordered. Also has Nov. date I think.
Don't know if it sat on dealer lot for 11 months.

The Canada partial VIN is also inline with the EUN sequences.
Both VINs are inline with the sequence.
That's why it's so interesting. It could have had an engine from the line in Canada and put into the Baltimore plant GTO.

Really weird
Customer hand picked order in Nov 1969
Sold as New in Oct 1970

Maybe the dealer lied about the order status to get the car built with higher preference ?
Sure turned into a Lot Lizard
And probably will be again .
