we didn't! We were told that after the regular racing was finished at 5:00...the track was rented until 8:30 and grudge raciing was going to take place. We were just wanting to make a pass or two. Oh, well. Next time for sure! Probably won't be this car though. Already started on the next project, which will basically be geared towards this particular type of event. I told y'all...I'm HOOKED! As is Kevin. Nothing we can do now but scratch that itch! Anyway...thanks again for the kind words. It's going to take someone who knows what it takes to get a car to that level to really appreciate this car. Folks were actually surprised that she was not a real RA IV for $49K. Yeah...right. I'm some dumb...but not plum dumb! lol Take care. Ron

Cool Well...

Seems our "no BS cash buyer" was BS after all. I guess you can expect to get "yanked" now and then. Anyway...thanks for all the kind words. We ran out of tire shine from all those " tire kickers", so we are giving up until Spring...possibly Mecum. Economy must be worse than I figured...as I know for a fact this car, or any car for that matter, cannot be brought up to this level for this dollar amount. It'll be interesting to see where this hobby goes. You cannot do a "regular" car anymore and expect to even recover your investment. Sounds like the kiss of death to me. I guess we'll see. Thanks again to all. Ron

Beautiful Car Ron. Yeah, I here you about putting endless money into a car and not even being able to recoup your costs.

Have you looked into donating it to a charity or have the car auctioned off?

Cool LOL...

At this price...I feel as if we ARE donating it to charity! Seriously, I believe that if someone actually is serious and sees the car...it will most likely have a new home. Thanks for the kind words. Ron

Exclamation More pix...

in addition to the pix in posts #38 and #39....here are a few more for those interested parties. These are some "under construction" pix. One can also Google "Mershon's World of Cars" in Springfield, Ohio and view their "recent sales" lot # 9428 for some excellent pix of the finished product. The car was under consignment with them for awhile. One note...anyone interested must act quickly as the car gets signed up for Mecum at Indy on Monday, January 11 and will be legally commited at that point in time. We would much rather see a true enthusiast get this car. We will work with you in every way possible as far as assisting in facilitating the sale. The car has Dynamat front to back in the interior. Every weld on this car was done at the GM plant! I do not need to explain the significance of that fact to anyone knowledgeable about these cars. Rear end has recently been changed to a Nodular HD Safe-T-Track unit with 3.36 gears and forged axles. This car has 1,000 miles on the complete nut and bolt rotissery restoration. Just enough to work out any bugs. This is essentially a brand new '69 GTO in a very rare and desireable color combo. Do not miss out on this rare opportunity. Spring is just around the corner! Thanks for your interest. Ron 740-852-1742
