Default Muffler reccomendations

I've been driving my 63 GP to a few shows lately, and I really enjoy it. However, the car is so quiet I can barely hear it running. I know it's kind of a luxury car, but I need some noise! Any reccomendations for mufflers that you can hear at idle (but not obnoxious) and have some throatiness while cruising

Walker Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, part number 17749. They're a 2-1/2" pipe offset-offset configuration.

Nice little rumble at idle and make just enough noise when you are on the throttle.

Have you thought about exhaust cutouts? That way you can have the aggressive sound when slow cruising at the shows or would like to turn some heads in a crowd yet maintain the luxury quiet on the hwy.

Had the same thoughts when I bought my 61. PO had put on duals but with stock mufflers. I went to a local muffler shop with a great reputation for making whatever you need done . Tried a few different mufflers. Owner would stick them in place and do a temporary seal using a gloved hand. I thought the Flowmasters and some other were a little harsh. Ended up with some off brand by (I think) Jones Muffler. Look about like a Flowmaster. Sound great. Nice deep rumble with no harsh ear piercing blast. Well - maybe a little when all three carbs open up.

I'm honestly not sure what's on there now. I.assume some sort of stock or stock replacement muffler. The car has true duals, but you sure can't hear it!
