Didn't even know there was such a thing ... would remove a ton of unsprung weight from the front suspension.

i am new to these drums also
will run forged aluminum hubs
( just found those too)
getting great results with ceramic pads
on 4000lb FRONT HEAVY 68 goat and
69 safari daily driver with cast iron drums
so rotating weight reduction is reason
for changes to goat

I'd say you'll have no problem. I ran a set of 68 Olds cutlass front drums on a 67 Lemans. they looked totally different but dimensionally fit perfect. pretty sure all GM A body backing plates were interchangeable between 66-72 (and I think 64/65 were the same too). Same brake shoe call outs from my part store counter days memory (244 was the front and 242/245 were the backs?) I'm getting old now.

I remember getting a set of aluminum rear drums back then from a customer that was buying new ones and didn't want the old ones. I think they were off a later 70's model camaro and fit fine on my 71 lemans. Don't know what real use in weight reduction an aluminum rear drum was but it was cool looking through the cragars back then!
