I HAVE A 400 MOTOR WITH ONLY 52,000 ORIG MILES ON IT AND I WANT TO MAKE MORE HORSEPOWER WITHOUT SPENDING A MAJOR AMOUNT OF CASH.HERE'S WHAT I PLANNED TO DO
1)SMOOTH OUT THE PORTS IN THE STOCK HEADS.
2)INSTALL A EDLEBROCK PERFORMER INTAKE AND AFTER MARKET CARB.
3)HEADERS AND FLOWMASTER EXHAUST 2 1/2" ID.
4)MILD CAM.
IT ALREADY HAS A GM ELECTRONIC IGNITION WITH A ACCEL COIL AND WIRES.WOULD TAKING A BIT OFF THE HEADS FOR MORE COMPRESSION BE A GOOD IDEA? ANY IDEAS OR MEMBERS WHO HAVE WORKED ON THEIR 400'S AND HAVE SOME FEEDBACK WOULD BE A GREAT ASSET.I'M ON MY OWN HERE NON OF MY BUDDIES HAVE PONTIACS SO I'M LOOKING FOR SOME GOOD INFO PLEASE.

The PY Online Forums is the largest online gathering of Pontiac enthusiasts anywhere in the world. Founded in 1991, it was also the first online forum for people to gather and talk about their Pontiacs. Since then, it has become the mecca of Pontiac technical data and knowledge that no other place can surpass.
