Hey guys, i have a 75 ta that i'm ready to have painted. It was originally ordered with the bird delete option and i was wondering if it would be best to leave it off or "give it the bird!"Any stats out there to tell me how many came like this? I like the look of the bird but just curious as to your opion. Thanks. Kevin

It's not a delete option rather the bird itself was optional. Many cars were not ordered with it but most cars had it. It was a selling highlight and many people had to have it.

I've got a Pontiac press release that says 80.3% of all T/A's made in 1976 (46,701) were ordered with the hood bird.

Add it if you like it but they are expensive. I'd look at having a professional install it!

Kevin,
Install the bird!! I just put mine on and my TA. It changes the car for the better. I installed it myself and thought it wasn't as tuff as most people said it would be.

Oh do it put the Bird on.....When I had hood damage on my 75 2 years ago I saw the car without the Bird. I just couldnt see driving this fine machine without it. When I pull into the drive-in on Saturday night People know there goes a sweet Trans AM. Hope to see a pic of it soon PhatDaddy
