Looking for pictures of E-heads with center water holes
Would like to take or put some water in from the center of my E-heads to help cooling, any pictures out there?
With a dry deck, reverse cool set-up how would water get to the block? Thanks Ed |

V8, in a reverse cooled system with dry deck, water exits the rear of the heads at the core plug holes( where the heater nipple presses in) and travels through braided hoses to holes drilled and tapped for -10 fittings at the side of the block . I've setup my turbo combo for reverse cooling/dry deck, the benefits include cooled water from the radiator going to the heads first, hotter water going to the cylinders , and most importantly no chance of water getting in the cylinders and causing a hydraulic lock if the head gasket pops.

i am thinking about doing this for this season. i drilled a hole in my test head and tapped it right above the heat riser hole in the head. i then plan to run this to the front water cross over. my combo is already dry decked, and i run coolant lines from the oposit sides of the block and heads in the back.
i will get a picture of it for you. |

Thanks a lot, for the pictures. Plan to have a good year after many small changes, and it sounds like this is a good mod.
