Here are the rarest factory-installed options for 1969. These figures include all A body units as applicable:

WS2- Custom S/Belts & Frt & RR Shoulder Harness 0.3%
A41- Power Frt Bench Seat-4 way 0.9%
A70- Reclining Bucket Seat 0.9%
C57- Power Flow Ventilation 0.2%
K96- H/D 55 Amp. Alternator (exc. w/AC) 0.1%
N65- Space Saver Spare Tire 0.5%
N95- Wire Wheel Disc 0.9%
V64- Vacuum Operated (Instant-Aire) Tire Pump 0.2%
V82- Trailer Provisions 0.1%
WT5- Mountain Performance Option (Hyd. only) 0.2%

WT5 was included in the PMD listing of options for 1969, but was first offered for the 1970 model year. Perhaps a few units were installed in very late '69?
These are only the options that were lnstalled at a rate of less than 1%. There are many more that were sold in the 1-10% rate.

I had mentioned it in one of the earlier posts on this topic. A neat option indeed. Used fans inside the firewall to blow outside air on ya through the dash vents and powered up by a dash mounted rocker switch. Sort of like turning the vent on to outside air and driving the down the road at 70 plus. Rare indeed and it was available on any engine option as well. One of the guys on here was selling a whole mint set up a few weeks back.

I think that is so neat! I think it was used on Ram Air II's and IV's. Anyone got a car with that option or know more abotu it?

WT5 was available for all models exc. GP. The option included leaner carburetor settings and higher axle ratios for better performance at high altitudes.

Did anyone mention the engine block heater?? That was probably a dealer installed option. Someone mentioned rear seatbelt shoulder harnesses, but what about "custom" rear seat belt shoulder harnesses in a convertible. Real rare in any GM convertible of that era!
GTOIC, Could you publish the 1% to 10% listing of options sold?
Also, you mentioned all "A" body" (in your post) I assume that means all Pontiac "A" body, not all GM "A" body?

The Engine Block Heater was not an RPO. It was only available as a dealer-installed accessory.

Here are the RPOs for 1969 that were installed into Pontiac A-bodies at a rate of 1-10%. Again, these installations are "as applicable".

A31- Power Windows 2.7%
A46- Power L/H Bkt. Seat (exc. 3300-3500) 8.4%
A65- Split-back Frt Bench Seat (3737-67-4200) 6.2%
B96- Wheel Opening Moldings (3300-3500) 2.3%
C50- Blower Rear Window Defroster (exc. conv. & wagon) 4.7%
DH5- L/H Visor Vanity Mirror 1.8%
M09- Custom Gear Shift Knob 6.1%
M13- HD 3-speed Manual Transmission (3300-3500-3700) 1.1%
M21- Close Ratio 4-speed 3.9%
N33- Tilt Steering Wheel 3.2%
N34- Custom Sports Steering Wheel 4.1%
P02- Custom Wheel Disc 3.0%
P17- Spare Wheel & Tire Cover 1.0%
UA1- HD Battery 5.5%
UB5- Hood-mounted Tachometer 2.7%
U25- Luggage Compartment Lamp 9.2%
U26- Underhood Lamp 3.4%
U27- Glove Box Lamp (3300-3500) 6.2%
U28- Ash Tray Lamp (3300-3500) 3.8%
U30- Rally Gauge Cluster & Tach 3.8%
U57- Stereo Tape Player 3.4%
U58- Push Button AM/FM Stereo Radio 1.2%
U69- Push Button AM/FM Radio 5.1%
V01- HD Radiator 1.3%
WT1- "The Judge" (4200) 9.5%
W63- Rally Guage Cluster & Clock 5.0%

Other RPOs installed in less than 30% of 1969 PMD A-body units:

AK1- Custom Seat Belts & Frt. Shoulder Harnesses 13.8%
A39- Custom Seat Belts Frt. & Rear (conv.) 10.9%
A90- Electric Rear Deck Lid Release (exc. S/Wagon) 10.3%
B30- Custom Carpets- Frt. & Rr (3300) 27.5%
B32- Front Floor Throw Mats 25.0%
B33- Rear Floor Throw Mats 13.0%
B93- Door Edge Guards 14.7%
D33- Memote O/S Mirror 13.9%
G80- Safe-T-Track Rear Differential 13.6%
JL2- Power Brakes-Front Disc 26.7%
M20- Wide Ratio 4-speed 10.7%
N98- Rally II Wheels 22.4%
U35- Electric Clock 25.1%
Y96- Ride & Handling Springs & Shocks 12.1%

Any guesses as to what the most common option was?

Most common option... going to be between all tinted glass & pushbutton AM radio

Least common '69 Pontiac A-body option... going to be between vac door locks & power flow ventilation.

Will share one I personally read on a fellow restorer buddy's original buildsheet. Wouldn't have believed it, unless I saw it. 4.56 for gear ratio! This is on an original buildsheet from a close ratio 4spd '69 Judge. Don't believe me, just wait till for the car to blow some minds at Nationals.

I'll go with automatic transmission, & power steering for most, & speedminder speedometer & map lite mirror for least.

gtoric- How did you get those percentages?

I'm guessing the most common options are: headrests (pre Jan.1 69 they were options) and the console

You guys need to be aware that you cannot apply that percentage to your GTO unless it's a GTO-specific option like RAIV. These numbers apply to ALL A-bodies.

Do you have the percentage of hidden headlights for '69? Or even '68?

Do deletes (heater, radio, clock) have their own code?

SpartanMSU- these are for all PMD A-bodies, not just all A-bodies in general.

Some option's not on the grand listing above. I'm focussed on 1968

Speed-O-Alert ...In the 68 Owner's Manual.

Power Antenna
Reverb
Hot-Forged Axles, with the 3.90:1
Boxed frame.
Vinyl Top

Not sure:
Hood Pins?
Rear wing?
Cornering Lamps (dealer item?)
Koni ADJ Shocks? (dealer item)
Underdash AC? (dealer Item)
Protect-O-Plate? (dealer item)
Pin Stripes (dealer item)

Delete options: Radio, AC/heater, carpet, deadener?

GeeTO Tiger, I am aware of what they are for, but I was merely raising the red flag about people applying the percentages to GTOs when that would be statistically incorrect.
