the factory Liberty Blue was how it came.
I bought the car in 1977 in Gloversville NY while going to collage at FMCC.
The car has the white nose on it when I bought it,but the nose did have a big split in it.
I did at the time find another blue nose and replaced the white one.
Back then us young folk had no clue, you could by a muscle car almost any whare any time.
I did run across either a thred on here on in a magizine about some rare White Nosed GTO's.
Not sure [probly not] if that car was a special one.
The car was a 2 barrell 400,auto on the colum, bench seat,ac,ps,pb, white interior.
That was #2 out of the 4 GTO's I have owned.
I am keeping #4.

I think you might be referring to the article in the December 2012 Muscle Car Review. It has the 69 Barrier blue/white nose GTO on the cover. The car has the Ram IV motor and M21 trans with a 4.33 differential. Supposedly the factory stated that the blue pigment would not adhere to the surface of the endura bumper.

Yes, I believe that's the one. Was just wondering if 1969GTO's car came the same way.

The blue one sounds like a "rare" car. Not so desirable but very unique I would think.

If the BLUE GOAT was rare....it's long gone now
It did end up in Daytona Beach in 1979 when I moved there, sold it early 1980

A few more shots of the damage.

These next two shots are after cleaning and epoxy primer before we started cutting cancer out.

I had a sweet day in the shop. Mike had finished the body work on the quarters and we got them in epoxy primer. Have no idea how many hours are in those quarters but I will tell you a ton!

Default Nana liked to call her car "Ole Betsy"

Here is a sample of the gaps "Ole Betsy" will be wearing.

Very nice, my quarters are a lot "muddier" than that.

I wish this was the case guys but I tore this car apart around 2003. Sent the frame and suspension components to get powder coated and when I got it back realised my garage was NOT going to be big enough to restore the car in. Then I spend the good portion of a year building my shop.
The work has been very slow but steady. I still have a lot more to show to get caught up to date.
Thanks for all the kind words so far, this thread has been very fun for me. My car for sure has come along way and sometimes I just look at it in awe thinking of what it looked like when I started and dream of what if will look like when done.

I was moving the car one day out side the garage, this was prior to tearing apart. I had a few guys pushing me backwards and I jumped in to put on the brakes, hit the peddle and nothing. I proceed to roll back, with the door open and the door catches on a mound of dirt and rips the door back I hit th f-ing clutch not the brake! I could have cryed. It haunted me for awhile. I could not get over the fact that I did that to my car, it did not have to happen.
Fast foward a couple of years and Mike is looking at the body, already stripped and in epoxy. He looks at the driver door jamb and says something like "this door got bent back". I looked at him and said how did you know that? He smiles and says "its my job".
Well I am haunted no more. Mike fixed the jamb and we used the doors off the LeMans I parted, not an ounce of rust.
Some before of Nana's car and before of one of the LeMans doors, I think I have more pictures somewhere and am going to find them.

Wow those Lemans doors shure were nice! The car is coming along nicely!! I need to find a good body man myself to have my front fenders aligned on the 69. When the car was re- painted ( by the PO ) they were not aligned right and the gap is way off. If any one knows of a good body man for this near Huntsville AL or Fayetteville TN, could you please send me a PM. Sorry to use your post as a plug, but figured a lot of folks are watching

GW, nice build and it's awesome to be keeping it in the family! Looking great for sure!

Not sure if you have seen my build for my old man, but I have one question for ya on the 1/4's....I have installed both 1/4's on my goat, both made by Dynacorn, the left side was nearly perfect and needed very little filler anywhere (blocked out on second pass). the right side however is looking like it needs fixing on almost the same spots as your right side.

How was the fit on both of them? My left was easy, but the right side needed about 5 times the work (and I'm still working on it)

Again, looking good man! Keep up the good work sir!

~Joe
