youll lose some compression and may encounter some pre detonation with the extra squish area.

So I should use the OE steel ones? Also, is it possible to have a copper head gasket made? I see that Butler will custom make them and if I sent them a Felpro as a template they should be able to cut them.

Thoughts?

I'm going with the thicker aftermarket head gasket as it'll help drop compression some for today's gas. On my good engine I'll zero deck the block and the quench distance should be about right with the thicker gasket.

On my e-bay gasket set the cam housing gasket is paper thin, I can't imagine using a thinner gasket than what is in the kit.

To directly answer U47's question, it uses the BOP bellhousing.
