I'm going with the thicker aftermarket head gasket as it'll help drop compression some for today's gas. On my good engine I'll zero deck the block and the quench distance should be about right with the thicker gasket.
On my e-bay gasket set the cam housing gasket is paper thin, I can't imagine using a thinner gasket than what is in the kit. To directly answer U47's question, it uses the BOP bellhousing.
