I've seen guys run 6.90's @ 200 MPH on alcohol with a BBC in 2200+ lb. funny cars with nothing more than 8 injectors in the hat...it can be done.

Just to give you a heads up, some tracks might let you run with the BDS spring-loaded pop-off plate, but technically it will not pass tech. I modified my BDS intake in the thermostat housing area for a SFI burst panel, which eliminated the water crossover, but with running methanol with a dry block, it didn't matter for me anyway. Plenty of other ways to skin a cat and get one on there while retaining coolant capability.
The pop offs will be eliminated and a burst panel installed.

Turning the manifold around put the outlet of the retro blower almost in the center of the block.

I would like to retain the coolant, but it is getting harder to do that with all the other stuff that is going on.

What confused me on the manifold was the pop off on the front

How is this build coming. I'm looking to do something similar.
Thanks.

We ran it all last season with a huge learning curve.

Last race of the season we finally had the 8.000 index dialed in.

We are currently right in the middle of a freshen up and hope to have it on the dyno Friday.

More to come.

Hey Glenn. Good to see you're still plugging away. That's the only way it'll get there. I hate learning curves. I keep going too fast and sliding off of them, LOL!!!

This will be my first year where I can use data collected from last year to tune with. I really like the 8.0 index class. I'm thinking next year we will run 7.5. I really enjoy tuning to the index.
