I can only imagine the torturous path the "ram air" must take to get from that scoop to the front of the engine, where it belongs. Most likely would cost horsepower, not to mention money, over the grille mounted inlet. Some of us regognize that certain previously essential concepts become obsolete. Like a running board mounted spate tire, a hoodscoop on a modern production car has seen its usefull days long past.
