Checked out the other auctions. Fl. Ca. Wa. This one gets around.

He said "RETRO".

Check their feedback. I wouldn't buy anything from anyone with feedback that bad.

I wonder why eBay lets them stay as a member.

Lots of easy money to be made in CA obviously. If this keeps up I may just have to offload the one I have on order.

Easy, the dorks who actually want these cars are dumb enough to fall for this.

This guy is some kind of "broker" setting up deals with sellers to get a piece of the action. He has no idea if the cars are available at the time of auction's end.

This is as fraudulent as the "seller ended auction early" crap when they don't like the bids they are getting for their car. Try that at a real auction. That's why you pay extra for setting a reserve you dipwads!

what's the catch guys? I don't get it. It says the reserve is done met and barely over 10,500.
I thought these were selling for around 30,000?

KEVGTO,
People are just bidding on the "right to buy" the car. The actual price for the car is in addition to this auction. In short words, if you were to win this auction for $12,000, you would have won the "right to buy" a GTO from a named Pontiac dealer. You would then have to pay the sticker price for the new GTO.

example:
$12,000 ("right to buy auction")
$35,000 (sticker price on a new GTO?)
________
$47,000 (total) + taxes, tags, etc...

The right to buy scheme "usually" guarantees that you will get the car without being put on waiting lists, etc...

There may initially be a short waiting list for that car. Why I don't know. Anybody stupid enough to pay that kind of money extra to get one of the first, is well. STUPID

thanks for the tip, I was wondering what the big deal was. At my local Pontiac dealership, he told me they was gonna get several, he already called and told me they was gonna be one in on OCT. 25th, black on black. But, wouldn't get his second until DEC. a red one with black interior. He told me we could order what we wanted, but would probaly be Jan before it arrived. I think he quoted me a 28,000 sticker price, plus your normal sellers fee's and tax and liscense. Maybe I should get one and auction it off on EBAY..

The first shipment leaves the Dock at Adelaide Australia on Tuesday the 21st and will take four weeks to hit the docks in Tacoma WA. There will only be 460 in the first shipment.

My brother-in-law is a Pontiac dealer. He plans to keep his first one and sell the rest as the market goes. Probably near sticker at first, then below sticker as the initial newness wears off. This Ebay scam should not be allowed!!!!!

Hmmmmmmm. First, we get German Fords and Buicks (Opel); then it's Mexican Volkswagens and "American" Japanese cars. So, now we get an Australian GTO. Yeah.

First of all, 24 seems like alot, must be buying from other dealers at sticker and then selling through this auction. Why, why, why would anyone bid with this dealer? That feedback looks like a "do not do business with" poster child. I don't care how much money someone has, that IS really stupid. The only cool thing is that someone is willing to put up that kind of ging for this car.

BJ, you can use stronger terms than Dork, we can take it! You know when I said Fart I meant F%$#.

Tails, welcome to the "dark side," be cautious it gets rough over here...

i don't see why anyone would pay 10.5 k more than something is worth for anything. its like scalping tickets. i sure could have a perfect chassis for my 66 for the same 10.5, and the 66 is gaining value and not losing it like the new one. (IMHO)
