COOL! There are a bunch of videos of the same car, in one someone said 25psi of boost. In another the car was on dyno made over 400hp at the tires? It had New York plates on it?

Yeah thats all this car. The dyno was at 15 psi and it made 442 hp torque was 398 @ the wheels with #3 cyl down. in. and ex. valves werent seating in that cyl.

I'm waiting for my converter to come back so i can go see what it makes with 25psi.

At 15lbs on the break it stalled to 4800 to 5000. now with the 10 lbs more it went to 6000 +. So the dyno will tell how much more power that is. Can't wait to see....

That whole burn out was 1/4 throttle and the 4 barrels were disconnected.

You should post those links on the 61-63 tempest forum. Those guys should go nuts.Your car is bad ass. Ive' been thinking of doing a turbo setup on my 62 Lemans. I will have some questions for you in the future.

Done correctly,,,This one has well over 400 at the rear wheels. Lots of stuff being done with the Tempest 4 cyl. Blown on alky, Bonniville speed week, sand drags, you name it. Here are a few Boosted Tempest motors.

Keith where did you find the picture of Rogers new setup, the second one? Looks like when they were at Mission.
That engine of Rusty's sure looks good!
Scott thats one of the Mickey Thompson Hemi heads.

Dont remember when I got the pic of Rogers car but I copied it from here on PY. Rusty's motor looks good no matter what angle you look at it. He is running a CV-1 head on that motor. The M/T Blown motor is in the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln Nebraska.

Then you have a M/T Blown tempest dragster, a rail with 2 Tempest 4 Cyl motors & here is one from the phoenix area with a Tempest 4 cyl with an adaptor plate with a chevy 409 valve cover on it.

The head on the M/T rail has an unknown cylinderhead on it. Seperate exhaust ports in the center & angled spark plugs!! Thats Mickey Thompson nealing on the ground. Here is another pic showing the head.

There was a version of the 63 4 cyl that had a forged crank & rods with 4 bolt mains. Thats the most desirable. Can have a billit cut for about 3K. Other than that, the stock crank. The crank is a 180 degree flat crank. When # 1&4 are at tdc, # 2&3 are at bdc. Lots of vibration. Have to be balanced perfectly with a very light piston & rod.

Yes if both cam & crank is custom. A 90 degree crank will be an odd fire with a stock pontiac V8 cam. Firing order is uneven.
