Remember, 1971 was Cameo white. Polar White was 1970.

Thanks, I should have the cameo white and the suppliers first attempt at Lucy blue color proofs before the 4rth holiday weekend. That is, of course, there is some unexpected delay. Stay tuned...

Oh, I'm tuned. Looking forward to the cameo white. I absolutely hated my painted welting when I did this car the first time. It cracked and collected dirt and generally looked like crap.

That's great new, James. You can count me in for two sets of cameo. In the immortal words of Jim Morrison, "One for tomorrow,
One just for today."

Kind of what I'm thinking as well.

I have to thank Critter to turning me on to this. The Buc red looks great and matches very well.

Well the supplier did get me the color proof for the Cameo White. Below are various photos showing the color proof compared to one of the paint samples as well as my 1974 SD-455 in original paint and welting. For comparison purposes, you can see how much the original has yellowed on the welting as well as the fender flare. The photos are taken indoors under florescent lights with the flash-on, flash-off, and outside in sunlight. The color match looks better in person than in a photo, but I am interested in what you think. I think it is a good match.

It's hard to take color accurate pics of white. But the whites weren't a perfect match to each other from the factory either, so I'm still in for one set.
Thanks again for your hard work on these projects.

I am planning a trip up to see Steve sometime next week. I would like his opinion on the color match. If he agrees with me, I'll order the production run. It should only be about 4 to 5 weeks until we have the final product at that point.

Quick Update,

I have been occupied on business for the past several days, but Steve reviewed the color proof and thought it was a good representation of Cameo White, and I also received the final pricing from the material supplier this morning. Even though there was a cost increase on the material as well as an increase in the minimum order quantity, I have placed the order for the run of Cameo White welting. The production lead time is 4 to 5 weeks. I'm crossing my fingers it turns out as nicely as the Buccaneer Red. I will let everyone know when it arrives.

P.S. I will be keeping the same pricing as the red, $90.00 a set.

Thanks again for your interest.

I'm willing to pre-pay for 2 sets if you want. If not, I'll wait until it's available.
