Default Any clear pictures

Hi everyone
Does anyone have a nice clear picture of these installed on their 2nd Gen.
I know where it goes, but does the large tang fit up inside the chrome window surround, does the hole at the bottom have a screw go through it to fit to the top of the firewall.
How far up under the windshield does it go.
Also, I take it that the photo is showing the drivers side.
Thanks for any help
Mick

About as close as I can get without taking the fender off. Where did you get those? When I bought mine they were priced just short of a piece of gold!
Hope this helps.

Wow that was super fast thank you.

So they fit over the corner of the screen by the looks of those pictures
When I bought the car they were in a box of odds and ends with the car

Once the windshield is in they just snug up to the bottom, the little tang(wing) thingmajig at the top tucks into the bright trim as its installed. I think its supposed to be some kind of 'flashing' material to divert water, but judging by most of the 2nd gens I have seen with a rotten cowell, I dont think they worked! I havent seen too many restos with these installed, I dont think a lot of people even know about them. Plus, like I mentioned when I bought mine a few years ago they were stupid expensive for what they were, but hey, its only money

Wonder why they were in the box.
Perhaps whoever did the bodywork didn't know what they were for.
Will have a look tomorrow to see if they fit ok
Thanks again
Mick

PS In your bottom picture it looks like you have trim along the bottom of the windshield, where the corner trim screws into. I don't have that. Is that a year thing. mine is a 1970

No trim, just a clip on each side that the windshield sits against, they also hold the wipers in closed position. You may be seeing the rubber weather strip. My car is a 77.

Yes it was my eyes playing tricks. The whitesh edge of the glass looked like a bit of trim that kicks up over the glass. Hard to explain but now see what it is.
I have the 2 clips
Thanks

I think I'm going to switch my insurance to Grundy.

That's funny, I'll ask them for a commission next time I renew . I think that's a magnet, I have one on each side of the car under the windshield at the a pillar.

The advertisement does leave one enticed.

Pretty slick Mr. Kerry, you looking to quit your day job?
