Default Agghh. Nut insert on the bottom of my 66 2+2 fender retaining bolt spinning

Any ideas on how to get the damn bolt out?

Its under the bottom of the front fender, tucked into an inaccessible location on the rocker panel (I think)

Having played with rusty old midwest cars, this is not unusual, but this MFer has me a bit stumped.

I'd rather not get medieval with the torch to go after it, but it is the last barrier to getting the fender off. And I'm sure my parts car, soon to go under the wrench and the sawzall will have the same issue.

Thanks!

Can you use a cutoff wheel and cut the head of the bolt off? That might give you access to the rest once the fender comes off

Get a belt sander....and grind it off....this thing is like a stump grinder (Trees)... And can get in very tight places.

X2 You'll find plenty of other uses for it !

Once the heads off you should find a "U" nut fastener.

Example - easily replaced.
