Thumbs up New '67's

Shame the SC Tempest isn't shown in full view, but thought it was still worthy

I would say it counts, Plain Jane 67 Tempest 2-door post. It always amazes me when I see how low option most cars were as built, Both the GTO & the Tempest had Hub Caps, and no passenger side rear view mirrors. The Tempest even has Black Wall Tires

Did all '66 Tempest "Sprint" cars come with the "belt-line"(or whatever they call it) trim?

Thumbs up

All Tempest & Tempest Custom only
Belt-Line molding IIRC, is what most refer to this Side Body Molding as.

I thought that was the way to tell a Plain Tempest from a Tempest Custom?

yup, you paid extra to get a Custom over the Tempest to get the molding and then you paid even more to get a LeMans to have the molding removed again!

Your last few pics really emphasize how low the back of these cars were when new. I read somewhere that it had to do with weight transfer in braking (to reduce rear wheel lockup) but it also makes the cars look slimmer and alert, love that look!

OK, thanks. I found them here: https://digitalcollections.detroitpubliclibrary.org/
There are a lot of Pontiac photos in there that may be of interest.
I hadn't seen the 69 Trans Am photos before. A nice collection of 9.

Thumbs up Was shown this Cammer & Owner pic at POCI show.

A Gentleman approached me while in Gettysburg and wanted to show me this great picture of him with his Cammer.
Sorry I forgot his name but IIRC he said this image was sometime in 1977.

Cheers.
