Default Recommendation on a FRAME BOX KIT

I've got a 67 GTO/Lemans frame that I want to box. Does anyone know of a kit like the Hellwig 11100 that would work on this frame? Going under my 67 LeMans vert.

That frame appears to have some non-factory boxing done to it already...is that the case or am I imagining it?

Is that the frame that was under the convertible?

That fame is already boxed. If you really wanted you could box it behind the rear wheel arches however it really isn’t necessary.

No, the original frame is still under the car. I actually have two frames. One is a 67 Elco that has 4 link set up, powder coated ready to go.....but it's set up for a 9" Ford rear.

I just purchased this 67 frame that has been partially boxed. It's only done on one side and they are just tack welded.

That' why I am thinking of the Hellwig box kit. Looks like stock.

I can also use the Elco frame and the rear of the 67 frame. So, I'm looking at all my options.

My body guy is really wanting the 4 link setup.

Also interested in the box kit. Can it be installed with the body on the frame?

At the minimum you need to raise the body and it would be challenging..best is to remove the body

I had seen some pictures it is a little bit of a pain around the trans mount area. Thinking of that on my 65 also.

Default 4 door Frame Box Kit

Which kit for 4 door sedans, hardtops and wagons?

The same year range 2 door frame box kits, or something else.

Man, that looks better than factory. What’s an estimate on how long that would take to weld up, etc., not including the paint/powder coat?

I had probably 40+ hours in it all told (estimate). I'll try to take a pic of the underside, I blended the welds a lot more than needed but I wanted to do that. Lots of grinding and going slow on the welds. Having done it once I could go through it quicker now.

Question for those who have installed the Hellwig kit... To determine the correct position of the added body mount in this kit, is it necessary to temporarily put the body back on the frame? Or can you install the whole kit from start to finish with the body removed? Just trying to anticipate logistics...

Thanks.
