That has to be my favorite color combination for a 67 GTO. It takes my breath away.

Verdoro Green in 1967 was not a special order color. It was a color offered on GTO's and Firebirds beginning in the spring of 1967. It may have been offered on big Pontiacs, too.
I ordered a '67 Firebird in Tyrol Blue before the Verdoro Green offering. I changed it to Verdoro Green, but the car was built Tyrol Blue. I also had ordered Ram Air and 3.90 gears originally, but Pontiac shipped it with a standard 400 engine, 3.23 gears.. Their excuse was California emissions standards did not allow the Ram Air Bird. No excuse on the 3.90 gears. But, the dealer did come through and swap rearends with a later Firebird arrival at no cost to me. There was another color introduced the same time as Verdoro Green. It was a very rich gold metallic. I believe it was Coronado Gold Poly. https://www.google.com/search?q=1967...=1564012737408

I too believe Verdoro being a Firebird-only color for 1967.

doesn't that trim tag have O for Coronado Gold not Q , for Verdoro Green ? 67's look better in Verdoro than the 68,69,70 models do ... imo |

Agree. I don't mind it one the 68s, but it just works so much better with the lines of the 67. And was Pepper (70) the same color with a new name? |

I'm not fully versed on 65-67 special colors and spring colors - mostly know more about those in 68-70.
Sometimes the Spring Colors had a regular code (1969) In 68 - they used a special code (1) In 67 - idunno , maybe its coincidence Coronado was O , and Verdoro was Q I'm not familiar with a code 0 (zero) being used Have seen 1 , 2 and 4 used in various years though 4 being Primer Pepper was a new color all its own. Darker Deeper Cleaner Green You could still get Verdoro in 1970 , at least on GTO/Judge I consider Spring Colors to be in the special order category. They cost extra even if they were applied to a specific body style they were intended for. If applied to other various body style of same year model - it was full cost special paint charge. IF Coronado and Verdoro and Mayfair were released specifically for Firebird , then they would have been full cost special paint on a GTO. - that's an IF - Seems like Jeff Hamlin has or had infos and factory literatures on earlier special colors Jeff ? |
