Umbrella Seals
So I am gearing up to install new seals on my cammer. Recently rebuilt the motor but experiencing some smoke especially on startup. I read that others put these umbrella seals on both the intake and exhaust. First can this be done and what type of seals have worked best on these engines. I’d rather not pull the head.

I went with Vinton Seals which is the way to go IMHO.
You really only need to machine the Intake side for these, Its overkill for the Exhaust side.

If you are not going to machine the guides, you can only use the OE style umbrella seals on the intakes, nothing on the exhaust.
