You owe your bud a few! Love to see pix of that original inside! Matching with close ratio gears too. Paint original??

Such a cool car. Love the way it was ordered... and that it's still all there.

The added spoiler looks "just right" on it, too.

Congrats Don - Gorgeous car! Amazing that it had not already been snatched up by someone since it was sitting out in the open. Glad you found it and were able to make the deal. Bonus that it was what you suspected too. It would be cool to confirm the story you heard that a lady bought it and towed her sale boat with it. I can hear the salesman now suggestng those 4.33 gears for better towing - and thinking racing in the back of his mind! I bet with a good heavy sailboat hitched to it - you could pull the front wheels off the ground with those gears!

It was garaged until 4 years ago when the guy got divorced and lost his space. he had tarps tied all around it. Going to pull the engine next week and put in my 350 from the 72 i parted out. Cant get 200.00 dollars for it and it runs like a top. This way i will get to see how this car drives while i rebuild the Ram III. I want to see how that 350 responds to the 433's.

Don, that is a real nice score! No marks on that convertible shim on the door at all! I bet that 350 runs nice with the 4:33's, even better if you throw a set of 12's or 48's on it. A new carpet kit & some simple green on the interior & that's going to be a super fun ride!

By far the nicest69 GTO project car I've seen in awhile.
The gas bills won't be fun but a great street/strip machine.

I thought this figure was 249. Oh I see...175 RA III manual trans, convertible non-judges.

Mark The funny thing is that I had one just like this in 1982 that I bought out of the paper and it also had a close ratio trans and big gears and was sold new in jersey too. Back then I didnt know you could go to pontiac and document them. It was optioned just like this one with the 8track on the console and everything. Burgundy with a white top and parchment interior. Some Ass@%#e sliced my roof and vandelized my interior so I Sold it in a snowstorm to 2 guys for 2700 dollars. Never seen that car again. wonder if it survived all these years later.
Im glad your friend could use all the parts. Tell him to keep chugging along on it. It was nice meeting you and thanks for your service! Stay safe.

Hey guy's, this may be a dumb question. Is the 175 number based on the open scoops & ram air pan or just having a ram air 3 motor. Thanks, John.
