Interesting car with Pink special order color and chrome bumper option but have to agree there is no market for this really and pretty darn ruff ruff.. Maybe pitch it to Mary Kay corporate in Dallas to pay for car and resto and use for a special promo car? Yeah right.. #PinkGasMonkey ..lol

Why wouldn't there be a market for this car?

- Special-order color
- Endura-delete
- Loaded with options

It would take a special person to restore this car, and I'd hold my mug up and salute him.

Don't get me wrong. I hope it gets restored as well and better yet maybe its a rich blond that likes to drag race and it will be seen by all. Maybe it can be The Race for the Cure cancer car

It would be neat like my AMC Pacer's, but at 50-60k to restore it right, your probably gonna be seriously upside down.

Agree; Mary Kay did not give away her first car until 1970...a Cadillac.

GRX, Now THAT Black Vinyl Top sure helps the Bazoooka Joe pink. Have to say I like it. Glad someone else owns it.
Does it look good just because it's done?
Or because it's a 68?

Suppose the Spoiler & Cragers help it man up

Finally, someone came up with one....Not top of the line fine but enough to get an idea of what it looks like.
I think it works....I don't want it...but it works.

Anyone recall the Factory Ordered PINK 1967 GTO feature way back in POCI's Smoke Signals?
IIRC it was right around the time they switched to a color cover and it was on the cover. I don't save old copies so can't secure the story.

Anyone have a copy to share?

True Boss, but there are several other colors I feel the same way about... Espresso Brown for instance. I think they are very pretty when in good paint and good condition but just not on my bucket list.
I guess you could say, some cars you buy, not because you're in the market for it but because the opportunity arises at the right time. You don't 'pick' those colors and combos.
Others, you hunt for. Pink and Brown are in the first category for me. Oh man, Pink and Brown don't even sound right in the same sentence together....lol

And what is wrong with Expresso Brown? My 69 GTO is Expresso with a Starlight Black painted roof. I bought the car because of it's condition and price of course. Wouldn't mine a color change, but it was special ordered by it's first owner, the gentleman I bought it from. I might change out the interior from black to parchment though as it might make it POP more, if that is possible.

I knew a guy who had an Espresso brown le mans with black vinyl top. Looked good IMO. Mayfair Maize is probably my least favorite. One color that does not seem to get much love is Limelight green offered in '69. My sister had a GTO with it, and I had a le mans with it as well. Not cool as Verdoro or Midnight green but still pretty good. Even when people called it "pea green".

Nothing wrong with Espresso Charles. That's what I'm saying...Just because a particular color is far down the list that I would choose, doesn't mean I wouldn't consider one or that there's anything wrong with it. Even Pink done right will look good. I just am not shopping for one.
I really don't like the bright Marigold Yellow on a GTO but Mayfair Maize is one of my favorites...as long as it has a black interior and no vinyl top.
Some say toMAYto, some say toMAHto. Go figure....
