Default 1966 GTO Dash Advice

I have a 1966 GTO that is a really nice driver. I restored it just out of HS with the final paint and finish in 1991. So, it has been a while. Fast forward to today, there are so many more parts available now that weren't back then.

I want to restore the dash. The car has rally gauges and a pretty nice original dash pad. But the wood, chrome, and switches are 56 years old. It want to get the interior standing taller.

Here are a few questions.

In today's world, is it better for me to pull out my dash bezel and have it rechromed or buy a repop?

Who restores gauges? Peter Serio still at it? If he is, does he still fully restore Hurst shifters as well?

Is there anyone I can send my dash bezel to, and get it back fully restored?

Does anyone restore heater controls?

I can do all the un-install and install work. Looking for guidance where to start.

Thanks in advance!!

I sent my 68 dash here

http://vacuumorna-metal.com/content/restoration

They did a very good job with a price thats competitive with the repop, or at least it was when I had it done.

Pete did my gauges and it was well worth the price

Peter Serio is very much still at the gauge restore business, had a steady work load when I approached him about mine last year. It has been awhile, but Pete did my Hurst shifter.

I tackled the dash bezel restore, but did not opt for a re-chrome, several good threads on this forum about the wood, etc replacement.

Don't know about heater controls, sorry.

2 years ago I replaced my 67 dash bezel. I was so happy with results I did my 66 last winter. I did repops. Always had great results from Ames, not so with opg. I learned to inspect items immediately and order and install promptly to stay in warranty periods. Had good luck with Peter S. Had quick turnaround. Good Luck and post how project went.
