No way that car is as nice as a frame off restored one.......the build
quality on these cars from the factory was horrendous. The nicely restored
T/A's are cheaper and a hell of a lot nicer than a zero mile car. If that car went
up against my79 at a car show the owner would be bitterly disappointed at the award ceremony.

Some restored cars will possess better quality than factory assembled, but will never outperform a uber low mile totally original car in the marketplace. Just the way it is.

If I had the money I would prefer a mint original condition over restored. Something about taking a car apart and putting back together that can not duplicate the factory.

It would be a pretty good contribution to this hobby for people to take ample photography of these low-mileage originals, so that the nut & bolt restored cars y'all are talking about can emulate the look of a factory original even more - right down to the paint daubs. This one still even has the yellow spraypaint mark on the cylinder head. Pretty impressive.

NGL, I'm more with gtohurstjudge on this in that I prefer shiny, new-looking, finely-restored examples over low-mileage survivor cars; but you still gotta appreciate them. They truly are time capsules.

Damn thats a hefty sum! A friend of mine recently sold a 78 400 auto AC car with 12,000 original for $45,000. I thought that was a bit low but then again the car was gold.
