Default Got my Phs papers have couple of questions.

Well I received my phs papers today and probably have one of the lowest optioned trans ams out there. I am really kindof bummed they opted not to get the hood bird but oh well. I thought the paperwork would have the axle ratio on it or am I thinking of the build sheet. Also the option for the 70x15 tires are those the white walled ones not the white lettered ones? Thanks and I attached a photo of the sheet for comments.

Well optioned car!
Axle ratio wont be listed on the invoice. If car had been a regular Firebird or a Formula, would see Safe-T-Track listed on the invoice if car was ordered with a posi. The ID code for r/e will be indeed listed in a box on original broadcast sheet. When equipped with a 4spd, didn't matter in '73 if a 455 D-port T/A was optioned with a/c or not, it will be a 3.42 posi.

Correct, your 4 speed car should have 3.42:1 rear. AMA sheets use to carry that info. The tires, as I recall, were the Firestone Radial 500 and were white letter. Screwy things on the tires.

My old '73 TA only had 7 things listed. Radio-AM, Glass-S/R-WS, Battery-HD, Trans Am opt (credit), Speaker-R/ST, Eng Blk-Heat and Hood decal.

Weird thing white walled tires on a TA. I really wish it had the hood bird option. But you don't see too many without it.

The bird design for '73 was a very bold option for consumers to add. More than a few people did not step up to the plate because of that. I think they became more "socially acceptable" as the years wore on until the T/A and screaming chicken became synonymous. It wouldn't surprise me at all if more than a few of the current survivors have had them added through the years. If I weren't such a stickler my SD would have got one too during my resto. I will say going birdless does grow on you, but I secretly do carry a fair share of bird envy.

I see Custom Interior on the PHS. That's a great option to have.

Rally II's were standard, but Honeycombs were a no charge option on a Trans Am and would not show up on a window sticker or PHS invoicing.

Since I don't have the original wheels it came with cragar ss. I know assumptions are crazy things but since they didn't opt for the hood bird I would assume honeycombs weren't opted for either.

Read Held for Ransom's response.
My PHS did not show honeycombs but they are the original wheels that came with the car. BTW, I think your car came nicely optioned; I especially like the deluxe (custom) trim group. Those seats are the most comfortable seats I have EVER sat in. Makes me want to drive it all the time.

I read his response and understand it I was just asking the opinion that if the car wasnt ordered with a bird then it probably wasnt ordered with honeycombs either since they were new too at the time since there is really no way to know I will more than likely opt for the rally ii wheels to give it the mcq look.

The "new" hood decal added $55 to the price tag. Honeycombs didn't add any amount and were around since '71. Totally your call, unless a build sheet shows up.

Duh having a senior moment about the honey combs sorry if I sounded standoffish. Didn't mean to put anyone off. My plan is to put rally's in it since I have a correct coded set.
