Default Pic's of my Pontiacized Buick/Rover Valve caovers

Well After finding out that Rover Valve covers would fit the Buick 215 V-8 I am putting into the 77 Astre Formula, I decided to make them look more like Pontiac Valve covers, A friend of mine etched an arrowhead, and PMD logos onto the flat surfaces that rover was nice enough to cast in. They are now back from the powder coater. I think I am going to paint the PMD & Arrow heads bright red, and out line the arrow heads with silver.

I think they look more era correct than the original 61 buick covers also.

Nice work!

I looked for one of those 215s (or an SD4) for my old vega. I ended up with a 3.8 (229 cid) Chevy v6 in it before my brother sold it - grr.

I still catch myself thinking of another h-body... now I'm daydreaming Solstice GXP drivetrain tho.

I have a similar plan for the M/T valve covers I'm doing for my 400. After I get around to powdercoating 'em wrinkle black I'm gonna throw em on the CNC and engrave... something... on the big blank spot, probably "Pontiac Motor Division".

Thanks for the kind words, I would love to see what you end up doing to your MT covers. And I will post a couple of pic's of the end results when I finish painting the Highlghts on my covers!!!!
