one more question. i have a long orange wire that would appear to go to a switch and runs the length of the dashboard. Could this be a remote trunk opener switch? oops... oh yeah, 67 GTO.
Thanks, Matt |

Underdash orange wires on '67's are typically hot-when-key-off feeds to: glove box lights, courtesy lights, cigar lighters, console lights etc.

Yup - I think thety're the heater wires from the heater control panel to the box. The one with the gromet looks like the wire that goes from the control panel to the blower motor (gromet for firewall). The orange wire, I believe, is an accessory wire. The door jamb switch wires are white, I believe.
someone with a wiring diagram should be able to I.D. the yellow wire - I've got one for a '66 - I'll check when I get a chance. -dan |
