I believe I have posted on this previously, but there was a 67 RA car at the Lerum auction in May 2009 in Pepin, WI. This car was minus the original engine and differential. It was a manual steering, manual brakes 4-spd car, gold in color, with transistorized ignition. One of the guys with me, Paul Kilker, commented on the AC core support as strange (much thicker) and we determined that it had not been removed/replaced after examining the car carefully and speaking with the guy who owned it fo 25 years.

A guy from michigan came to the auction to get the car for rear quarters. We did not run the PHS (same auction where GTO JOHN scored his non-judge RA IV car that looked like a judge) and after he won the auction for this car, we mentioned to him our suspicions about the car being special and possibly a RA car. He ran the PHS and it confirmed it to be a RA Car.

I have not spoken to him in two years, but I have his email and pictures of the car.

a ram air car will have an a/c style support, they all had HD cooling as it was part of the ram air option.

bigpop received your pm. Will give you a call when I get a day off. 2 weeks out unless it changes. Busy part of the year at work for me. Will also take some pics of my car. Any pics in particular anyone needs to see?

This will be a hard car to list. There are literally over 100 NOS boxes that come with the car.

Thanks for looking Joel

Don't mean to 'jack your thread, but your Dad and I became fairly good friends through these forums. He was also VERY helpful in helping me source some '72 455HO pieces I needed.

I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing, and my condolences.

OK now - back to topic! VERY nice '67 GTO vert, by the way!

Lloyd thanks for the kind comments. My father loved the round port Pontiac's. Have the shop full of it to prove it. Do you remember my dads "call name" on this forum? I have looked many times with no luck. Would be nice to see what he was up to.

I believe I am emotionally okay to try and deal with trying to do something with all of his cars now. Will be VERY over whelming for sure. Large shop 12 some cars and full of parts for all the cars. Plus a NOS room in the house full floor to sealing. 1000's of NOS items That need to be identified and then placed with the correct car. It's not like this is the only car. No... 12...

Thanks for your time......Joel
