Default 1970 TA block codes

Has anyone ever heard of a 70TA with a WT block code? I thought that all TA's had a WS code and that WT was for a GTO.

Thanks

WT would be for a non-RA block.

All TA's had RA engines, so, no WT would not be in a TA.
(WT could have been in a Formula though)

Thumbs up

Thanks - that's what I thought. Looking at a 70 TA, guy was trying to tell me it might be the original block but it is a WT, All the research I did said that it was a GTO block.

WT was Factory installed in a 1970 Formula 400 4 speed, with #12 heads.

the WS/YZ are both 'L74' RAIII which were the 'base' engines for the Trans Am;

The WT/YS were both 'L78' which were one step down from the RAIII; this was the base engine for the GTO & Formula 400.

Quite likely one of few '70 Muncie three speed Formula 400's left.
