Jetaway was the Oldsmobile term for the Dual Coupling and for the 2 speed.
Trans shops and parts suppliers have just referred to it as a Jetaway for 65 years.
The 2 speed was a called a 300.

No Problem . I have . Years ago, 1991 IIRC, a Friend in Fla bought a 389 block to use for his 66 GTO. Got it all machined. Never checked till he put it in the car. OUCH.No starter bolt holes. The "ears" on the block were curved a little , not flat, and way too skinny to machine and tap threads into

Those are 1963 blocks. The reason the engine is for sale is because the car was totaled in an accident. Yes I heard it run and except for an exhaust leak it was quiet and smooth running.

That four speed hydro (#315) the Bonneville comes with is a very strong transmission. I put one behind a 462 I bought from Cliff and it held its own without any trouble... When racing with them, put the lever in L and let the governor do all the shifting, mine used to shift right at 5200 once I installed the 421 Tri Power governor Steve recommended to me on to from e-Bay..... I wish I would of changed cams in that 462 from the 041 to the Nunzi 068, I think it would of made that motor a torquer...

Car was NOT a factory 4 speed car. Owner added the 4 speed. Also it is not a 421 like I was told. Just a 389 bored .030" over. Right side of car mostly junk. Needs frame and right 3/4 nose. Major mess.
