Thanks for sharing romantic story. We look back and say' where have the years gone'.We belonged to a church singles club,in our 20s. Different get togethers every week. We met at a house party ,believe it or not playing 'spin the bottle', she had long black hair to her waist. She thought it was childish. Yes nice garage. my big garage is 30X60. One mistake I made was making ceilings 10ft.Didnt want 12ft.never thought of lift 20 yrs ago. So 4 post they say is only option, near future.im getting tired of jacking and crawling under cars at 71.My dad would say 'it'll tuffin you up' and 'dont get old'.

Bob be 40 years in October! Neither of us always remembers was it the 27th or 29th. In fact one year I was out at the track test and tune in the '78 really good air, and after a few passes I thought you know I think tonight is our anniversary!

Our honey moon was driving from Houston to San Jose CA pulling a horse trailer with her horse, and her Doberman in the camper of her 454 truck. I only had a few days off as I had just been at that job 6 months. Started snowing about Albuquerque NM, at Gallup, NM you could not even see the highway and idiots were stopping on hills so we pulled over for the night. In Kingman AZ horse had cut himself and had to borrow some supplies to put him back together at a clinic there(luckily had a mini diploma saying I really am a vet). Trailer was smooth al the way past his shoulder so who knows what he did. That 454 you never knew the trailer was back there but it only got about 8mpg and with a 20 gallon tank some of those desert stretches were worrisome. I swear it was almost as fast as mt TA with the smogger 180 HP 400 and 2.56s in it. When we were dating I had a 69 non A/C power nothing 4 speed Roadrunner and she knew I was into cars from the start(still thinks a couple is plenty) and I knew about the horse stuff going in also, and I had horses as a kid(hey most horse owners are female not a bad place to hang out )

Shifted the 4 post over a little-easy with the wheels- so now have a little more room.
And here is why you don;t build your shop or a house under old pecan trees! I've already worn out 1 chain saw over the past 8 years,

Last project car out of the storage space into the shop. Late Model asphalt car backed into the wall at San Antonio. 350 SBC dry sump ported Bowtie heads Brodix intake, 180 degree headers, dual MSD systems. fire suppression system, multi disc clutch(either in or out) Muncie 4 speed Hurst Super Shifter, quick change rear end, coil overs, wide 5 hubs. Planned on making it a cheap road race track day car but just one too many projects.

You might be able to part that out....

Congrats again! On the awesome shop.

My good friend (I was in he and his wife's wedding, Feb 1978) they had built a new home, nearly lost it during the oil bust of the early 80's.. They rented a couple places to get back on their feet.. In 2001 they bought 70 acres of (lol) wilderness in southeast central Oklahoma. I believe their shop/house is 40 by 85. Has a 3 bedroom home in one end, the rest is shop...way cool he put up the building with some help, and built the inside of the house, all by himself. His skill level is off the charts for making/doing anything. He goes to some Pontiac events with me.....

Yep parting it out might be the way to go, although other than the crunched rear stub/fuel cell area it is a pretty solid car.
