Wheels are in another state. I think they are authentic ,but do not want to ask many questions at this point that might drive the price up. If they are authentic, what do you fellows think they are worth. A reasonable value as I plan to flip them at a reasonable price.

After reading this looked at the wheels that were on the 65 project I have. Three have GM65 on a raised area and either a 6 or a 9 by the stem(depending on which way is up). 4th wheel no stampings and looks a little different so probably not correct.

There is a date code on the inside . that would be hidden buy tire . it is very light in stamping.
also a code at the valve stem (6) in 65. there were no other letters or numbers at v.s. there were two mfg. Norris and Kelsey Hayes. Norris Tech.were found more on west coast cars. when I was looking for a set for my car . I found them VERY hard to find. I think I payed as much as $225 a wheel . and man I had a hard time finding a set . two years looking. |

But the side story was I found a lot of wheels for other years that I sold to help pay for the 65 wheels LOL
Hope your next step is not to find a set of custom deluxe hub caps in concourse condition |

Condition, Condition, Condition in each particular application of stock wheel is what determines a fair market value. Finding or putting together a matched set that were removed many decades ago & properly stored up off the ground, preferably indoors, improve the odds of the wheels being clean & easily usable.
Stretched lug nut holes, heavily rust pocked areas where the tire beed seats, heavily bent outer lips, all are problem points that can render the value from really low to scrap metal.

OEM Originals on my 65 Survivor. Baltimore built 11A.
Letters and numbers match on all 5 wheels. Date code on inside (9 64) = Sept. 1964. All codes on this 65 are Aug./Sept. of 1964. I’m not sure what the 186 means in grease pencil on the inside of one wheel. The 186 day of 1964 is July 4, 64. Chris.

So do others have the GM65 stamping also? The GM is above the 65.

Here is the GM65 and the 9 or 6. If you use the GM65 it is a 9.
