Default Heater hoses

If I understand correctly, one of the heater hoses has a pre formed bend in it for AC cars, Ames doesn't stock one. Where is the next place to get the correct hose from?

If you are talking about the heater core hoses there is nothing special about them. No special bends im aware of. The Radiator hose's have a preformed bend but you can get those and the heater core hoses at any real parts store. NAPA for one.

What he said ^^^^

IIRC, heater hoses were molded up until '70. Only for non A/C cars I believe... Nothing fancy about 71-72, except that originals were ribbed. The smaller hose that goes to the passenger side head is 5/8", and the longer one that goes to the timing cover is 3/4". You can buy it by the foot from any known suppliers. Its more convenient.

Problem is that most suppliers list them as 'molded' for 68-72 cars, which is not entirely true.

I just bought one from Ames for my 71. Is this a correct part or just an aftermarket part that doesn't or didn't really exist from the factory?

That's for 68-70 cars. (P131, P131B).

71-72 you need the non-molded, ribbed hoses. (P131K, P132)
