Default 70 RA III shaker decal - correct or not?

I thought I read somewhere that the 70 RA III cars got no shaker decal but I can't find it again. Is that correct? I've seen some cars that have "RAM AIR" or "RAM AIR III". My car has no decal.

Thanks

That's good news. One less thing I have to procrastinate about.

But I thought they were on the prototype and I thought I seen some on TAscoops as they were coming off the tractor trailer at the dealership when they were being delivered As I walked by the dealership coming home after grade school

Actually in North Buffalo walking home from grade school I would walk past a Chrysler dealer every day and look at the Road Runner and super bee decals on the B body’s , if that’s what you call them and then across the street Delaware Avenue was Brown Pontiac but their cars were always parked in the back of the dealership so we didn’t get to see them as young piss cutters.

I actually did kinda the same but it was a Triumph/MG/Lotus dealer. Oh how I loved that Europa when they came out. I also remember seeing my first Second gen F body. First week of February 1970. My sister was car shopping and bought a new 1969 Camaro. In the service dept there was a 1970 that had on the sticker “ Property of Chevrolet Motor Division”. That really was love at first site.

My father ran a Goodyear store in West Chester PA. A few doors down was a Chrysler dealer. I remember a white car in the showroom with a huge wing on it. I remember asking my father what that was, he just said "Junk".

Couldn't we all tell a story on that one?!

I'm gonna make mine a RAM AIR VI. And if I get bored of that I can just keep adding "I"'s until I get up to VIII. Then I'll have a problem.

Had the RAIV decals added to the '70 on the same day I had other decals put on the green '73 in the back ground.

I know it is wrong, but I gave into the urge. I always liked the look of the engine call out. If I grow bored with it, I just have to remove two decals.

Perhaps some purist in the engineering ranks at PMD prevented marketers from putting "RAM AIR" on the T/A shaker, since it would have been technically incorrect.
Forward facing scoops? Sure - that's ram air (although some were certainly more effective than others). But the T/A's scoop faces the wrong way, and it's too far from the high pressure area at the base of the windshield to to get any ram effect from that. "COLD AIR" probably just didn't sound cool enough to put on a sticker.
