But that bottom rail hold some oil and I had problems with oil running down that lip and leaking a little.
I bought some of BOPs steel reinforced gaskets rubber gaskets and put a very thin layer of Permatex # 2 on the bottom rail and that cured the leak.
But if they were the other style there is no place to hold any oil. And they look better too.
Strelka used to make some sweet valve covers.
Strelka. Had a good thing going then andy mitchell put em on the cover of hot rod mag and his phone blew up. He was making em on the side at his work. Management got wind and just put the screws to him. Poor guy went into a depression thoroughly in debt and un fulfilled orders.

A lot of resellers would remove the gaskets and sell them separately. PRW never advertised they came with gaskets.

Around the time they stopped shipping the covers with gaskets they had bolt hole alignment problems.

We replaced the wrong length bolts with correct stainless steel bolts.... Bought a big box of bolts and then they changed the design so all four bolts are the same length.
I bought mine on Amazon for 114$ They look fine and do most of what I want.
I did the SS Allen bolt deal too.
Still like the ones with the holes on the bottom. I can use the plug wire looms I have with valve covers like that. With the bolt on the top deals I have to weld some tabs on the valve covers for that style. I might do it but do not really want to.
Do you know of any fabricated valve covers in the style I want that is not 800-1000 $ ?
I could have Moroso make me a set like I want but $$$. I have shaft rockers so the real tall ones are not needed.
But getting ready to spend real money on a new property , shop ect so the car money will have to take a back seat for a year or two.

I like the ones JBP sells from Winchester. But the prices keep going up and up.
On the Winchester site, SBC valve covers are $400.
But the Pontiacs are minimum $600.

Maybe a group purchase to get the price down??

I like the shorter bolts also..... We're looking into carrying these covers. I'm hoping to be able to sell them for about $250 a pair.

i think the shorter set on tbe right are the prws. they came with allen bolts and the holes are countersunk. theyre the ones the holes are kinda tight, that and the bolts botton out, on the top if i recall but that was without a gasket.

i dont know who made the taller ones, they fit amazing though and quite a bit heavier built. its crazy to think i bought them, an alum valley pan, deep oil pan and lakewood bellhousing on this site almost 20 years ago lol....for like 200 bucks..the good ol days

edit: the ones on the left look identicle to the butler covers, just no engraving.

I just ordered a pair of these to see...They look exactly like the ones that Hamburger is selling for 449. on Summit...If I dont like them, I guess i'll spend the money for a pair of Moroso.

You would sell some sets if you can get it done. Those look like 3 1/2"
Are you planning on selling more than one size ? 3" and 3 1/2"
If you can make it work I would be in for a pair with no breather holes.

Opeliac, those ebay versions are cheap. Please report back if they are "worth it."

I'm not expecting a lot, but I have the time to find out while the engine is still in the shop...I should have them by Saturday, so we'll see...

If you sold these, I would definitely buy a pair. As long as they are 3 1/2" tall, to clear stud girdles.

I’ve always used moroso. Have had around 6 or more sets. Philadelphia racing products have made billet Pontiac covers as well.

I have the Tin Indian Billit-tek valve covers. They are very thick and heavy. They won’t warp like the sheet metal ones. It looks like they are $375 and you can get different logos engraved on them

I got the valve covers and the only negative thing I can say is each of them had a few small nicks on some of the fins...They said I could return them, but all of theirs have these nicks...I'm guessing they are so cheap, compared to Hamburgers, because of the nicks...Other than that, they fit very good and look good(even though i'm not a finned cover guy)...I may throw them on the mill and cut the fins down...

If you like fins, i'd say you wouldnt regret buying a pair of these for the price...I'll post a few pics later today.

Those will work. I have a 7" duel booster with enough clearance now.
Now I need to find someone who can engrave PONTIAC on them.
A 12 AN aluminum fitting welded in the front/top corners with a little baffle tacked in underneath, perfect.
Get,er done Paul.
BTW, kinda amazed at how well my drum/drum brakes work with that booster with a not so small SR cam.
