I'll have to see if I can read the PHS, it's pretty light.
Thanks, pggto.

I'm going with 315 and 025 for the codes.
(which places it good in the list)

Definitely one I regret pulling all the goodies & not trying to save, the other is a Coupe. Have a bunch of photocopies of '72 LeMans GT invoices & all but one other than yours are 14x7 wheel cars.
It's only been 3 decades, but do you happen to have the rear sway bar yet? lol My car is missing the rear one, but has the front.

I like the looks of the ducktail. I thought about adding it.

Lloyd could you email that story?

My car looks to have the same tires as the one in the story. Still have the original spare tire.

Yep - that's one very nice LeMans GT in that road test article!

And not only is that an OEM Wide 60 Oval 'stone tire, that a correct original "KR" code Rally II wheel it's mounted on! NICE!

send me an e-mail at lbcoulson@comcast.net and i'll reply back with the article. I only wish my scans were better. Sorry!

Sorry no luck.

I looked closer on the PHS, I can not make out the dealer code. The PHS copy is to light. Where is the code located maybe I can try a magnify glass to read it?

I also tried to scan the dealer shipping invoice, but again its to faded to scan. I can read it with a magnifying lens with a light.

Where the 734 may mean something different across the different models.
(Like Firebird, Bonneville, GP etc.)

I show 734 in 1972 as Protective Rubber Bumper Strips, but not sure for which model. 734 is also the GT option for the D37.

??? The 734/W70 is the Sport option, not included, but available along with the GT option 332/WU2

If you look at the blank order form that Lloyd gave us in this thread, you'll see
that neither the 734 or W70 are on the dealer order sheet

Ok, so I found this little snippet at the bottom of page 3 of the 72 Accessorizer catalog. As I read it, if you order bucket seats on the LeMans hardtop, you automatically get the Sport option. Is that how you read it?

That's exactly what I thought the deal was. Thanks for posting that page!

But I didn't find any wording in there that if you also ordered the 334 Gto option and wanted buckets, you then got the 654 Custom trim? I guess it was implied?

I know, but there is a spot above the 'Groups' for additional items.
That and the order sheet is dated June of 1971. I'd bet there is a later change (probably many) with the additions on it.

Not sure when the W70/734 was 1st available, beginning of year?

Need someone to have a late year original order form that is clear to read.

That's a possibility of a later order form that came out. I have the copy of the order form that the original owner of my car received from the salesman when he ordered it 11/71, but the copy cut off the very bottom of it with the form date...so no help

I do see that the Accessorizer catalog I got that page from was dated Aug 23, 71 and it mentioned the Sport Option

The Sport Option is also mentioned in the Full Line Catalog that was dated 8/71

The first number could be 315, still hard to read. But the second number is 025
