I have a 72 GTO and a 72 Lemans Sport w/ Endura. both have buckets. If the Sport wasnt a direct selection Option, then selecting the Center Console (431) must have added it. see the build sheets. my Sport doesnt have many Options, but has both the Front Console and the Sport Option as well as Endura.

Two different scenarios. If you ordered a LeMans with the 334 Gto option AND wanted buckets as well, then you got the 654 Custom Trim option.

If you ordered a LeMans and wanted buckets, then you got the 734 Sport option.

Console was obviously only offered with buckets, but it was not mandatory. My 72 Sport convertible has buckets (standard on convertibles), but no console.

From what I can tell, the only difference between the 654 Custom trim (gtos only) and the 734 Sport option was that the non Gto sports got "Sport" emblems on the side of the car (except convertibles got no Sport emblems).

... and a '72 LeMans equipped with WU2 (GT option) AND equipped with T41 nose & the Sport interior received no Sport emblems as well (vents in the fenders are in the way).

Figured out the '72 Sport Option included the upscale bucket seat interior deal back before the internet took off & I owned the '72 sales brochures. As partscars, have also hauled in a bunch of '72 Lux LeMans 2doors. Elk grain bucket seats same as Sport interior in a '72 LeMans. Base interior '72 LeMans, with nice interior panels have always been tougher find.

After reading OPH's last post about the Gt and T41 and Sport, I remember seeing in the accessorizer catalog and the Dealer order form something odd about the T41 Endura Option. In both of them it says V8 only models and NOT available with the 332 GT Option. We know now you could get the T41 on GT's. Wonder when that got changed?

Anyone have a copy of this bulletin?

The Endura styling option (T41) became available on Oct. 7 '71 per Car Distribution Bulletin #72-44.

Sorry, page 5 of the dealer sales manual that was posted a few pages back? If so, not seeing it. Can you post a copy of the page you're referring to? Thanks

You don't happen to have a copy of that Car Distribution Bulletin #72-44?

its post #85, this one says the endura not available on the GT. this isn't the one I was referring to, its in the 72 sales literature. I have a "complete" large binder with all the 72 stuff in it. when I have time I will try to dig it out.
