Lightbulb Daylight savings time

What are your thoughts on this, I really wish they would do away with it. Days are long enough as it is.

typical government decision...or lack of a decision actually.

There should be a federally mandated deletion of Daylight Savings Time.

10 years overdue.

I saw a meme with a Native American stating: 'Only white man can cut an inch off a blanket, sew it on the other end and call the blanket longer.'

I just can’t understand why someone wouldn’t like an extra hour of daylight.

I think it needs to go too. At the very least, put it back like it was 20 years ago when it was April to early October.

I wish it were year round. I hate it being dark at 5pm in the winter.

In fact, we have had a bill introduced in our legislature to do exactly that.

My thoughts are I wish it didn't come up as a topic every six months. I like having sundown at 9pm in the summer, and I like having a little more daylight in the mornings during winter.

It could stay light out 24/7 as far as I’m concerned, a lot less crime during the daylight hours also.

A lot of topics are repeated, as not everyone is here all the time. As of late I’m noticing a decline in posts here.

The vocal people that I've spoken to, objected to Daylight Savings because they loathe the
whole notion of waking up one whole hour earlier (was tempted to remind them they also
get to sleep in). I don't mind it at all. Daylight is good. The "hassle" is negligible, and it really
seems to be a non-issue to most. And it's a great reminder to check on things like smoke
detectors...

A reminder for smoke alarms could be to pick an important date in your life to do it. Could get so much more done with more daylight.

I'd rather it stay daylight until 8 or 9pm every night all year long.

Let the kids stand in the dark at the bus stop.
Give em a flashlight

We used to WALK to school in the dark, uphill both ways.
and we liked it

I like it and don’t understand why people complain about it.

There is 24 hours in a day, DAH! There isn't anymore or any less day light though out the year. We just move the clocks twice a year and screw up everybody's schedule! Farmers, cows, crops? Screw it split the difference and let it be. Isn't there a few states that don't follow this, Utah maybe being one of them?

Well yeah, there are 24 in a day and everybody knows that and it doesn't make any difference to the sun. It couldn't care less what time it is. People do care though because it matters if you like doing things outdoors after work like gardening, yard work, exercising or whatever. I like having longer daylight after work even if it's just a couple of hours.
By the way, I do believe that the amount of sunlight hitting a particular area of the earth actually does vary through the year. You get less during the winter. I'm no scientist but I think that's right.

Does anyone really know what time it is?

That's all I got.
