Default Non-A/C Heater Box :confused2'

64 heater box, out of car. It looks like a welded together unit. I just want to replace the seals on the flapper doors, but it looks like to get to them they need the spot welds drilled out to disassemble the box. Or a contortionist with tiny hands. I have tried to search for prior results. I have found suggested paint for exterior, but no tips to access the flapper doors. Anyone successfully replaced their flapper door seals?
Thanks,
Tony

Well, after doing some more searching, I found this: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...er+box+rebuild
So, I guess that answers my questions.
