Default Windshield Lower Trim for a 70

These are the pieces at the lower outer corners of the windshield. It looks like a good possibility they can be reproduced. Of course cost and a number to be sold are a consideration. How many folks here would be interested in a set?

Two different styles just for the '70 model year?

Or are you referring to the difference between the '70 parts and the '71 - '81 parts, which are indeed different.

The solid one was 70 only. The split ones were used thereafter. Ames has the 71 and later available in their windshield and rear window section.

I was watching a 3D printer demo yesterday, seems like if you did a 3D scan of a nice one it would be a perfect way to reproduce it ?? But I am not tec enough to know if this works !! Bruce.

I agree - this part would be a good candidate for 3D printing.

We've got several of them. They do a good job but you can still feel and see the build layers in the finished product.

I'd 3D scan to replicate and create the tooling and then injection mold them with modern UV and ozone stabilized plastics. I've used All-State Industries in Chicago for this type of work and they did a great job.
