Default 65 Survivor on ebay ????

Not sure if this is a survivor or not?

No sure if it is a survivor or not.Right around 13:25 into the video looks like the rear trunk hatch has an overspray.

That overspray kills the survivor idea. Paint looks like it's clear coated too.

And I don't trust the hand wringing, fast talking, punk salesman either.

That car has been discussed at length here before and as I recall the general consensus was that it's a legit survivor.

I talked to someone who looked at that car and it has issues.

Could it be that no one wants a 1:1 scale model that they're afraid to drive on the street?

It takes a special person with the correct mind set to be the curator of survivors. I am definitely NOT one!!! "Bill"!

That's the kicker right there.... "it has issues".

You can't just say that without disclosing the reported issues.

Looks like it sold! Hope the car is driven, no reason not to. The fast talking used car sales guy got the job done

Beautiful 65 goat - paint almost looks too good to be original, but I guess that's why it's such a find!

I think the 65 is the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing design of the gto's.

I have to agree. It's a shame that I will probably never own one at this point.

EBay games, it was sold, at least reserve was met until high bidder retracted his bid at the end. Guess is we'll see it again !

No retraction. I was high bidder, have been since it ran a few times now. He is asking a bit more than the bids reach. Some may not like this but I want it to build a real nice pro touring. Finding a 65 Lemans or GTO with no wrecks, rust or many dents is a challenge. Will keep looking. Maybe some day he will come down a bit to my range.

Put me in that column.
I truly hope you find the car you're looking for but please, not this one!

There was a bonehead on this forum about 5 years ago who bought a mint numbers matching triple black '66 Tripower 4 speed GTO and cut it up to make a pro-torung out of it. Got rid of the frame, engine, trans, rear end. Ended up with some LS powered so-what-mobile. Very arrogant, and ignorant, guy. The good guys take a rough or incomplete or non-original car and build resto-mods or pro-tourings. The real turds buy the best car they can and then chop it up with no consideration of future generations. Selfish, and arrogant. I hope this survivor '65 goes to a quality person.
