Ok....I feel real foolish about this but I just have to ask.

Was the dash pad an option on the 65 GTO?
Mine doesnt have one but it is missing a few other parts that were harvested in its early days so I chaulked this up to that...but I have recently acquired a pad and it looks like it will fit fine. The only problem is that there are no holes for the dash pad bolts. What am I missing here?

Like Perry said, the dash pad was an option on the GTO. I had a 65 convertible w/out the pad. I got a pad from a 65 hardtop and just drilled the holes I needed. That was around '81, so I feel each car was still pretty much original. I have also seen a padded dash on a '65 Lemans, but it turned out to be a GTO clone.
