Default Problem with some bulbs from PY

I just received my bulbs from Performance Years.
They were for the rear seat lights in a 65 GTO convertible.
The bulbs will light when you push them in, but they will not
engage and lock into the "J" channels in the socket. It appears
that they are just a little bit smaller than the original bulbs.
I have purchased bulbs from NAPA, that also do not fit.
All the bulbs I have tried are all made in China.Go figure
Has anyboy else come across this problem?
Bulb in question is catalog # RPZ21B 64-72 Convertible coutesy light bulb.(T90)
