On the front it looks like YS 323582.
The back looks like
N * D
A 9778789

8726

Im not sure about the bottom four.

I cant really make them out. Ill get the manifold and carb numbers off soon. This is sitting in my 65 GTO.
Some past owner painted the engine red but it flakes off to a Pontiac Blue underneath. Ill fix
that soon enough

9778789 - 1965 - 389
N - D indicates what shift produced the block night or day it looks on the photo that the arrow is pointing towards D for day.

YS - 355 hp with a 2 speed automatic. The numbers under the YS are the sequence number of the block. No corelation to the vin until 1968.

The bottom 4 digits are the date code of the block. The first digit should be a letter - A=January; B=Febuary, etc. The next is the day and the last is the year.
