i made marks averywhere, before i removed the shaft and disassembled it - but not which end is front an which is rear.
i can remember that i thougth, it would be easy to remember which side goes where . and the manual shows a shaft with same thickness all over, but: one end is thinner for about 1 foot - i guess this is front, is it???? Robert my goat is not the most important for me, but life would be hard without!

I am by no means a Pontiac expert, but my '64 has the thinner end going to the rear. I also have 5 extra driveshafts, and 4 out of the 5 have the thinner end to the rear. Hope someone else can verify this as correct. Dick |
