Default Cabin Fever Car Show Knox. Tn. Expo Center, Jan. 10th & 11th 2015

Here's a little sumpthin sumpthin...

Drove my car to Knoxville this past Friday and entered the show. Froze my butt off all day during setup. They judged Saturday night after we all left. On Sunday, It took first place in factory stock original for Pontiac Firebird. Lots of nice cars there. Me heep big happy! Check out the YouTube video made by one of the guys wanting to buy it. I couldn't believe how many offers I got. Are they crazy??? Ain't no way. Had a little luck on my side, the rain held off all weekend 'til I hit the driveway at home Sunday night.

I was bored going through old pictures. Here are Polaroid pics of my 72 before I bought it in 1982. Blast from the past man!

Default 4birds?

Mike,
Yes I need to update my PY 'handle'.
At the time of joining PY, I had 2 1972 T/A's (still do), a Black 1997 WS6 auto T/A, and my very first brand new car, a White 2002 WS6 6speed T/A. Many years and many cars have come and gone. I'm currently down to the pair of '72 T/A's. The #'s tend to change without notice. (A lot of us here have this same problem)
I have been very busy last year making changes and improvements to the stick car. The intent was to rebuild and reinstall the original matching # block, and undo what I did back in the 80's. (Mostly chrome, headers, aftermarket wheels, blue spoiler welting, AM/FM Cassette, etc.) Well, that snowball started going downhill fast. It didn't take long before the entire front half of the car was on the floor scattered all over the garage.
After reading and watching all you guys for years, I was excited to get to work on the car and try to bring it back to what it should look like.
I would like to thank all of you guys for contributing to this forum, as it helps us all.

Jay

Talking

And a few more.
I broke down and finally took out the original carpet as the hole from my heel below the clutch pedal was starting to really bug me.
The car is back together and runs great! Now I am waiting for warm weather to fine tune.
(it will never be finished)

Mike, I had the brief pleasure of driving your Sundance 72 around the block years ago when my brother owned it. Beautiful car. You are a lucky dog!

Wink Next in line...

This is my other 72 automatic, air, T/A. It been waiting its turn for a while. (cash required) It was black as you can see in the first picture when I got it about 13 years ago. I drove it around the block once, and then took it apart. It was originally White with black custom interior with quite a few options. This one will be for my wife. (Yeah Right!!) Currently I'm trying to find someone who can cut/weld the rusty patches in the rear quarters. The rest of the car is really good, dry and solid.
The matching # motor is all rebuilt and on the stand ready and waiting. Frame, control arms, radiator support all powder coated and reassembled.
This one is going to end up 26. I know...I know......sacrilege!

Oh well. It'll never be for sale.
