Default Back up / Resend info

When I surf through the order side, everytime I back up, I get a message, That I need to resend the info or refresh the page, for secured item's.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I'm not sure. It may be in the way you have your browser security setup. Try changing your security. I don't get that message when backing up within the order system.

That's funny then. I have AVG here at the office and Norton at home and it does the same.
I though maybe it was something in my user set up.

I was thinking about changing your security settings in your Outlook browser.

This is a problem with their store.. I always see this also..

It will happen in both major newer browsers, Internet Explorer and Firefox/Mozilla.
IE will display a "Page not Found" error whereas Firefox displays the "postdata has expired from cache" dialog.
You can probably recreate it by trying this:

1) Go to the Online store and open a catalog
2) Make a selection from the blue left Navigation box
3) See a product you like on the right? Select the Part Number to see details.
4) Now you want to select another product..
Hmm,, I don't have the Blue Navigation menu...
5) I guess I'll have to use my BACK button in my browser.
At this point IE complains with a page not found, FireFox, with a dialog warning you that you'll have to resend the data.

2 parts to this "problem":

Design:
I have no way to actually navigate back to the Category navigation (the Blue Navigation box) to see other products when viewing details for a different particular product. I am forced to use my Back Button. I guess I could open the catalog again or use some other path that would consist of navigating via links, which would avoid the problem, but that forces me to manually retrace my steps..

Code:
It appears that the POST method used to create the pages in the coding is not used correctly here. A GET might avoid this, but there are techniques that you could use to avoid this within the current method. Part of which might include breaking the single script you're currently using that handles displaying AND ordering into 2 scripts (I'm guessing on that, but it's probably the case). There are also HEADER location tactics that might help avoid this.

vidguy, When you posted it reminded me of an older post you made. Thanks for this info. Our long term solution is that we are upgrading our entire online order system. We're hoping to have it up and running in about 30-45 days.

In this case its the use of the back button, rather then allowing navigation via links that causes this problem.
I can appreciate the task you're facing in regards to the store. We appreciate the forums and like to support you through the use of the store.
If I can help, let me know.
